During my research stay, I joined the Algorithmics group at the University of Perugia, led by Prof. Giuseppe Liotta.
At the this year’s Augmented Human International Conference, Marc O. Ernst from the Applied Cognitive Psychology group at the Ulm University and project investigator in the SFB-TRR 161 held the keynote lecture about Natural vs. Artificial Intelligence.
Between the 11th until 15th of February I attended the Augmented Reality Summer School at the University of Auckland, in New Zealand. There, I had the opportunity to use the MagicLeap One, a sophisticated Optical See-Through Head-Mounted Display (OST-HMD) device. I enjoyed the trip and came back home very inspired to continue with my research activities.
The International Society on Virtual Systems and MultiMedia (VSMM) held its 23rd International Conference in Dublin/Ireland and Belfast/Northern Ireland, on October 30th to November 5th, 2017. In total, about 150 participants enjoyed an exciting program, consisting of Workshops and Conference tracks in Dublin, and Special Workshops and Cultural Tours in Belfast. The VSMM Society launched its conferences 23 years ago in Japan, in the early stages of Virtual Reality applications. Since then, it brings together leading researchers in the application of digital media, mobile, and virtual and augmented reality technology together with users across a diverse community.
